About Megan Foster, RCC

Megan Foster is a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) with a warm, collaborative approach to therapy and a strong belief in the healing power of connection. She holds a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology from Trinity Western University and has an academic background in Psychology and Biology.

With over three years of clinical experience, Megan supports individuals, couples, and families as they navigate emotional challenges, relationship stress, and life transitions with clarity and compassion.

Couples Counselling

Megan works with couples who feel disconnected, distant, or stuck in difficult relational cycles. She recognizes that every relationship carries a unique story—often shaped by love, loss, growth, and parenting.

Using Gottman Method Couples Therapy and Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), Megan helps partners:

  • Improve communication
  • Rebuild emotional safety
  • Strengthen friendship and connection

Her work supports couples at all stages, from early relationships to long-term partnerships.

Family and Parenting Support

Megan is passionate about helping parents better understand their children’s behaviour and emotional needs. With training in Emotion-Focused Family Therapy, Child–Parent Relationship Therapy (play therapy), and crisis intervention, she supports caregivers in strengthening connection and confidence.

Megan believes parents are a child’s greatest resource—and that supporting parents helps the entire family thrive.

Individual Counselling

Megan offers individual therapy for adults navigating big emotions in a fast-paced world. She draws from Emotion-Focused Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) to help clients:

  • Understand and regulate emotions
  • Build confidence in decision-making
  • Create a more meaningful and values-aligned life

Beyond the Therapy Room

Outside of her clinical work, Megan is a self-described “serial hobbyist.” She enjoys hiking, off-roading with her husband, painting, crocheting, sewing, and gaming with friends and family.

She values honesty, empathy, loyalty, and connection, and brings these values into every therapeutic relationship.

Megan understands that life can be messy—and also deeply meaningful. She is here to walk alongside you as you reconnect, regulate, or rebuild.
